Sunoco Race Fuels Launches New Website

WILMINGTON, Del. (September 12, 2016) — Sunoco Race Fuels, the largest manufacturer of racing gasoline in the world, launched a new website, www.sunocoracefuels.com, to make it easier to find Sunoco Race Fuels and get the latest news about Team Sunoco. Developed by Aloysius Butler & Clark, one of the region’s largest full-service marketing communications firms, with offices in Wilmington, Delaware, and Philadelphia and Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, the site addresses customers’ most frequently asked questions.

“Today we offer drivers and riders more choices than ever before,” said vice president Rob Marro. “Our sunocoracefuelsteam wanted to build a new site to help customers learn about and find our race fuels, no matter where they are located. Previously, they called our office for this information, but now with this mobile-ready, responsive site, the information is literally in their hands.”

Throughout the four-month development and build process, AB&C’s interactive team worked closely with the Sunoco Race Fuels team to create and design a user experience that combined functionality, interactivity and a cool look. One of the most important elements of the site is the Fuel Finder, a map of regional distributors across the United States and the world that allows customers to enter a destination and find retailers along their route.

“After completing a functional, competitive and visitor analysis of Sunoco Race Fuels and their current site, we developed branding and messaging that highlights the product and company and then added functionality to meet the goals of the site and the needs of customers,” said Jason Trojanowski, AB&C’s digital creative director.

“The site was built in WordPress to allow Sunoco Race Fuels to manage and update it,” said Trojanowski. In addition to the Fuel Finder, specific elements include a Fuel Comparison with technical details, applications and sanctioning bodies; The Winner’s Circle, highlighting Sunoco racing accomplishments across the globe; Sunoco’s Race Fuel History, a scrolling timeline of accomplishments from 1920 to present day; Tech Corner, featuring the latest information and blogs on race fuels; Sunoco Merchandise; and a robust social media presence through Sunoco Society that allows drivers and fans to use Instagram to post race day photos with #SunocoSociety, which can be featured on the site.

“Go Fast brings together brand loyalists who need to know where to get our fuels as well as future customers whose current fuel isn’t cutting it and who want to learn more,” said Deanna Manbeck, Sunoco Race Fuels sales coordinator. “With AB&C’s help we are now able to provide our customers with the information they need, when and where they want it.”
