WILMINGTON, Del. (December 5, 2017) — United Way of Delaware (UWDE) announced that David Brond, vice president and director of account services at Aloysius Butler & Clark, has been named to the organization’s board of directors.

“David brings additional marketing and public relations experience to the board that is integral to our mission and vision,” said UWDE’s president and chief executive officer Michelle Taylor. “His expertise and strategic guidance will help boost continued awareness of our mission throughout the state, enhancing our ability to continue making good progress on addressing some of the most pressing social challenges in our state.”

Founded in 1946, UWDE works to advance the common good by focusing on three strategic areas: early education success, college and career readiness, and financial empowerment. UWDE works collectively with businesses, government, social service agencies, academic groups, community organizations and concerned individuals in New Castle, Kent and Sussex counties to establish positive solutions for today that will also last long into the future.

“United Way is ubiquitous with building strong communities in Delaware,” Brond said. “Every day, the organization makes a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families by advancing its initiatives that are driving early-grade literacy, college and career readiness, and financial stability.”

A resident of Middletown, Delaware, Brond also serves on the boards for the New Castle County Chamber of Commerce and Teach For America-Delaware, and is the vice president of marketing for the Del-Mar-Va Council Board of Directors.
