St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Family Carnival Opens on June 9

Seton CarnivalBear, DE — Traditionally held in July, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Family Carnival will now open on Monday, June 9, and run through Saturday, June 14, at 345 Bear Christiana Road in Bear. On-site admission is $5 for ages 13 to 64, free for seniors, and free for children under the age of 12 (must be accompanied by an adult). Discounted passes are available in advance, with weekly passes for $10 and Mega-Passes (which include unlimited rides) for $35. Starting May 3, the parish will sell these passes at its office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and after each mass. On-site parking is free.

The Family Carnival’s opening evening will feature live performances by The Remnants in the Dugout from 6 to 8 p.m., and the Juveniles under the big tent from 7 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, and Wednesday, June 11, are Family Nights, when unlimited ride wristbands are just $20. Thursday is Fireworks Night, sponsored by Delaware Heating and Air Conditioning Services. Friday evening will feature Day Tripper. On Saturday, June 14, a traditional worker’s mass will be held at 3 p.m., and Dub Glenn will close out an excellent week of entertainment under the big tent.

The parish will also raffle off a Family Vacation to Disney valued at approximately $4,500. Food and adult beverages are available nightly at concession areas and at the Dugout sports bar — open rain or shine.

Dates and times are as follows:

  • Monday, June 9, to Friday, June 13, from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 14, from 5 to 10 p.m.
