AB&C Improves Mobile Functionality for Physician Recruitment
Aloysius Butler & Clark is making the job application process a whole lot easier for busy physicians as VCU Medical Center becomes the first institution to include “Apply Using Doximity” functionality. AB&C recognized that most physicians were viewing recruitment-related emails and open positions on mobile devices. Thus, the agency designed VCU’s physician recruitment site – JoinVCUHealth.org – so candidates can click once and apply with Doximity, the largest professional networking tool for physicians and healthcare professionals.
“Think about how tedious and unreasonable it is for physicians to apply on a mobile device with lengthy application forms and their massive CVs,” explains Shawn Kessler, senior strategist at AB&C. “‘Apply Using Doximity’ removes the mobile barrier. It’s a win-win situation for VCU and for the physician applicant.”
“Before AB&C implemented the ‘Apply Using Doximity’ functionality, physicians would have to wait until they were at a desktop to fill out an application and upload forms,” adds Aisha DeBerry, manager, physician recruitment for VCU MCV Physicians, the physician practice group of VCU Medical Center. “This benefits both the physician and VCU as we identify candidates for new career opportunities.”
Doximity boasts more than 50 percent of U.S. doctors as verified members. With the physician shortage continuing to worsen across the country, the demand on physician recruitment teams to find candidates is at an all-time high. AB&C’s solution to the mobile application barrier will make it easier for hospitals and health systems to start the conversation with qualified physician candidates.
