Cecil County Health Department Chooses AB&C for Opioid Misuse Campaign
Elkton, MD—The Cecil County Health Department has selected Aloysius Butler & Clark for a public health campaign focused on opioid misuse. In an effort to link Cecil County residents with prevention, treatment and recovery resources, the agency will provide public relations, social media, website development, paid media and creative services. Funded with a grant from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the campaign will target misuse of prescription opioids as well as heroin.
“We have a team dedicated to behavior change marketing at AB&C,” explains Paul Pomeroy, managing partner and director of marketing. “A drug abuse campaign like this comes with multiple objectives, not the least of which is removing the stigma attached to opioid and heroin addiction.”
The Cecil County Health Department focuses on assessing and solving health problems, developing policy, and assuring quality health services and education for county residents. Opioid overdoses represent the highest proportion of drug overdose deaths in Cecil County.
AB&C has also worked on drug abuse campaigns for New Castle County and the State of Delaware.
